Biffle’s Web Conference –comments/reflections

I was able to join the web conference today, Tuesday March 22, 2011. There were at least 25 plus people in attendance at this web conference. It was very fast paced with many questions asked and not as many answers provided. I think this was in part because the screen was so small and every time a question was asked or a comment made, the screen scrolled up so fast I did not have time to finish reading. Just when I caught up with a section, the information would change.
Also the quantity of people involved made it hard to keep up with so I think web conferences in the future must be with fewer people in order to be more effective. Due to the kinks, I found this web conference to be a bit overwhelming at times and highly frustrating, especially the process of finding one to attend and getting log on to it. Even through the frustration though, I enjoyed this particular web conference and think they are a great idea/concept. I did not get to much new information from this web conference but was glad I did get to participate. I do believe that web conferences will serve a valuable purpose when all the kinks are ironed out and as long as all the socialization or chattiness is limited, or directed more to the purpose/content of the conference.
